Hometown Heroes Show Number 79 Week of December 28, 2007-January 4, 2008

Technically this week's show begins in 2007 and ends in 2008. What a long podcast broadcast! Host Davit Souders and producer Dustin Parkhurst are excited to see what the new year will bring, for them a lot of it will be even more wonderful music from our city, Tulsa. And that's a good thing. Hometown Heroes Show Number 77 Week of December 14-21, 2007

I can see for piles and piles and piles and piles oh, yeah...  That's piles and piles upon miles and miles to be more specific. We're talking about tree branches. The city of Tulsa is still digging out of the damage the recent ice storm layed on our community. With the largest power outage in the state of Oklahoma's history thankfully behind us, the clean up is in full swing. Chansaw Commandos Davit Souders and Dustin Parkhurst will cut through all of the debris to make sure they deliver the finest music from the finest city. True, we wer ground zero for the ice storm and also true we're ground zero for some of the best music anywhere. Tulsa is full of Hometown Heroes both musically and otherwise.

Ice Baby Ice! What a week we are having in Tulsa and all of Oklahoma! The president has declared all 77 counties in the state a federal disaster and we have literally been a "State of Disaster". The Ice Storm Siege of Tulsa has certainly taken its toll on trees and their branches-all neighborhoods look like warzones. We are experiencing the largest power outage in our state's history.

 

Know this - wherever you are listening to this podcast/broadcast/diabolicast, ice or no ice, power or no power, producer Dustin Parkhurst and host Davit Souders will continue to deliver the finest music the great city of Tulsa, Oklahoma has to offer, full of power with no ice.
